I’ve been bad at blogging! But now that Christmas is over and I’ve been home and back, I’ll finally post the rest of the Meeting Street Academy photos! Like I said before, I had so much fun with these little kids! Meeting Street is a school that provides college preparatory education to 200 kids around the Charleston area whose families could not afford private schooling. They are huge advocates of the families being involved. In fact, many of the parents are now furthering their education because of it! As a sociology major, this school brings me back to all the theories that show how much society influences the individual. I love how Meeting Street realizes this and does such amazing work in the children’s lives!
