Charleston Engagement Photographer * Hailey and John 

I met Hailey and John for their sunrise engagement session on a September morning in Charleston. The sunrise was beautiful, and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. But as you can see from many of the photos, it was incredibly windy! Luckily neither Hailey nor John minded the windblown model look :) Hailey grew up in the Charleston area and has since moved to Charlotte. She has good memories of the Old Village, and so the Pitt Street Bridge was the perfect starting place for their engagement session. As the sun quickly rose, it gave a beautiful golden glow to the long marsh grasses. I love that Hailey and John chose a more classic look to balance out the natural background. I always juxtaposition in a photograph, whether it’s a gorgeous bridal gown in an industrial setting, or Hailey and John’s J. Crew look in the middle of the pluff mud :) I’m so excited to start the Charleston summer celebrating with these two at their wedding!
