I met Ellie and Jack for their engagement session at Jack’s childhood home. I love when engagement sessions can take place at a location that means so much to the couple. Especially when it’s an adorable Charleston home! While we were taking photos, I asked the two of them how they had met. Ellie said that they had both been standing in line at the Old Village Bakery, and Jack said he walked up to her and asked if she’d ever been there before. When she said yes, he asked what she would recommend getting. They struck up a conversation, and realized they had some mutual friends. I’m always so curious about meetings like this (I called it a “meet-cute” and Ellie giggled and said she loved The Holiday too!) and so I asked Jack what he was thinking as he went up to her in line. Ellie looked over at him and said, “Yeah! What WERE you thinking? I’ve never asked that before!” I personally think he must have been smitten by her adorable smile, because who wouldn’t be? After taking some photos at Jack’s home, we went down to Legare Street, which also had special meaning. When Ellie went to college, she lived near this street, and said she would always walk her dog here and it became her favorite street. I’m so excited for their wedding this fall!
