Robin and Brendan booked me awhile back for their Boone Hall wedding, and I was so excited to finally meet them in person. They came down to Charleston for a visit, and we took the opportunity to have an engagement session in downtown Charleston and at Folly beach. Robin and Brendan are one of those couples who is so easy to get along with. From the very beginning, we were joking around about crappy rental cars, Brendan’s coffee cup that he thought would be a good addition to the photos, and the fact that they HAD to try mango margaritas at Taco Boy after their session. Which was fitting, considering how they met! On their first date, they went out to a Mexican restaurant (the perfect first date, if you ask me). Brendan was having a beer, and Robin had a margarita. The server came by to ask if they would like another round. Robin thought her drink was pretty strong, and didn’t want to drink too much on the first date. She said “no” right as Brendan said “yes,” and even though Robin was fine hanging out a bit longer, Brendan took that as “no, let’s take the check.” Robin felt bad, but didn’t know how to fix the situation. After two weeks of not hearing from Brendan, she contacted him to see if he wanted to hang out again. He did, she explained what had happened, and the rest is history! I love the genuine smiles that you see in their photos when they look at each other, and how many times they dissolved into fits of laughter after something the other had said. Whether they were dancing on the cobblestone streets or cuddled up in the sand, you could tell how perfect they are for each other. Robin and Brendan, I can’t WAIT for your wedding next year!!
