Ashley and Cole were married under the oaks at Magnolia Plantation. Their intimate ceremony included the two of them, an officiant, their parents, and a peacock who wanted all the attention :) As much as I love the gathering of people to celebrate a marriage, there’s something so sweet and special about an intimate wedding. The focus is naturally on the two people getting married, as they aren’t concerned about how the guests are doing or how the timeline is going. Their focus can be completely on each other and the commitment they are making. Cole and Ashley’s love is so sweet. I was with Ashley as she was getting ready, putting the finishing touches on her makeup and having her mom help her with her dress. Cole stood outside, anxiously awaiting his bride. He couldn’t stop smiling and told me how ready he was to see Ashley walk out to him. After the ceremony, with the peacock squawking loudly in congratulations, we strolled around Magnolia Plantation, taking our time with the photographs and letting it all sink in. Congratulations, Cole and Ashley! Note the peacock on the roof in the background… This laughter is due to the peacock squawking it’s celebration right after the kiss :) This is the moment a bird pooped on Ashley while we were taking family photos. All of a sudden she looks down at her arm and shrieks, “Oh my GOSH!” Luckily it was the tiniest amount and didn’t get on her dress at all. If I remember correctly she wiped it on her Dad, laughed, and we went on taking photos :) I love that every groom does this on his wedding day. It is a weird feeling if you’re not used to wearing rings!
