This fall Drew and I traveled up to Nashville, Tennessee. What a great city! We loved everything from the endless music to the delicious food. My favorite part was a very special engagement session…my little brother’s engagement session! It’s still weird to me that my “little” brother is old enough to get married :)
He and Anna took me to the spot where they had their first date, at Cheekwood Estate and Gardens. It’s such a beautiful spot for a first date, and it made me laugh when Anna told me that this first meeting almost didn’t happen because she was so late! However, my brother is a patient person, and good thing he is, because he met the love of his life! While we walked around Cheekwood Estates, I fell in love with the property. It felt like we could be in Italy or France, with the gorgeous stone mansion and the beautiful flowers blooming. Living in Charleston, we don’t really get a typical autumn. It was so fun to be in Nashville, where all the trees were stunning yellows, reds, and oranges.
I love exploring Cheekwood Estates with them, and the whole weekend was so fun as they showed us their favorite spots around Nashville. It reminds me a lot of Charleston, with a little bit more of a down-home vibe. (And now I’m wondering how I can get some of that Nashville hot chicken sent to me in Charleston…) I’m so happy to have Anna to join the family! These two care about each other so much. They make each other laugh, they support each other’s dreams, and the way they talk about each other is so sweet. I absolutely cannot wait to head back to Nashville in June for their wedding!
