The amount of joy that Ashley and Josh had on their wedding day was SO beautiful to see. Ashley teared up as she was walking towards Josh during their first look, and from them on, they were both all smiles as we walked around Wachesaw Plantation taking portraits, and as they said “I do” under the romantic oak trees.
“Doing a first look was perfect for us both emotionally and logistically,” Ashley told me later. “It gave us an intimate moment during a day where you are constantly surrounded. It calmed our nerves and we could feel the excitement in the air of the vows we were about to make. The first look allowed us to get all the wedding party and couple shots we wanted ahead of time so we could join in on the cocktail hour fun. This is the one chance all of your friends and family will be in one spot, and we are so glad we had that extra time to spend with all of our guests!”
In some odd twist of fate, their two teams (Clemson and Virginia Tech) ended up playing each other on their wedding day. They had it playing in the bar, and would occasionally run in to check the score. In all honestly, I can’t remember who won, but I’m sure they remember! Way to start out your marriage with a bit of healthy competition! I think both of them would say it doesn’t even matter who won, Clemson or Virginia Tech, your wedding day was absolute perfection!
