A Lowndes Grove Wedding | Charleston, South Carolina

Elizabeth and Matt had a gorgeous Lowndes Grove wedding on a perfect fall afternoon. Lowndes Grove is always one of my favorite Charleston venues. The house is the perfect spot to get ready with tons of space and beautiful light, you’re right on the marsh, and the oak trees are so romantic!

Elizabeth told me that the first time she met Matt back in January of 2017, she called her mom and said, “I just met my husband!” Well, it turns out she was right, because the two started dating and never looked back! I’ve known Elizabeth for years now, and it’s been the absolute best getting to know her whole family and work with them so many times! They’ve welcomed me in to their special moments, and I’ve loved seeing them add members to their family! (I know Mr. Van Law has been happy to add some men to his lovely family of all girls!) Elizabeth and I had so much fun taking her bridal portraits before her wedding at Lowndes Grove. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a dress quite like hers, with the long sleeves and stunning applique all over the bodice! I was thrilled to be able to photographer her twice in it! Elizabeth and Matt, thank you so much for choosing me to document your wedding day! The two of you complement each other so well, and it’s so incredibly obvious how much you love each other!
