I met Olivia and Kendall for Hampton Park engagement session. If you’ve followed me for any amount of time, you might know that Hampton park is one of my all-time favorite locations! There’s just so much to love about it, as you’ll see from the photos below!
I could tell from the get-go that Kendall was so smitten with Olivia. He kept saying, “isn’t she just beautiful?” And I couldn’t help but agree! While we were together, they told me their proposal story. Kendall proposed on a boat while they were whale watching. He was obviously nervous, and they hadn’t seen any whales yet. He was wondering if maybe he just shouldn’t propose that day. All of a sudden, they saw a huge pod of whales and he knew it was meant to be! He got down on one knee just as a huge boat passed. They were both rocking back and forth, trying to stay upright while he *carefully* put the ring on Olivia’s finger. (Let’s be honest, I almost had a heart attack listening to that story and just imagining her beautiful ring being tossed overboard by the waves.)
You can tell that Kendall and Olivia have so much fun together. They told me that they’re actually pretty dorky and like to go to bed at 8:30 and they’re both lightweights. They have the sweetest fluffy dog that I demanded to see multiple photos of, and we bonded over our love for big, fluffy pups and the crazy amounts of shedding that’s totally worth it.
At the end of their session, Olivia told me that she was so excited to see the photos. Kendall said, “You know what, I am too!” He wasn’t expecting to have fun at all, and I was SO happy to hear that he had a good time! They started off the session (as 99% of my sweet couples do) saying that they would probably be awkward, and ending up in laughter and having a great time together.
