A Hampton-Preston Mansion & Gardens Wedding | Kim + Chip

Kim + Chip were married at the beautiful Hampton-Preston Mansion and Gardens in Columbia, South Carolina. This was the first time I’d been to the Hampton-Preston Mansion and Gardens, and oh my goodness, it was a stunning venue! I’m a sucker for a garden on a wedding day, and I loved walking up and down the rows of greenery and flowers looking for good portrait spots. The back lawn was classically beautiful, with white tablecloths, strand lighting, and a checkered dance floor, all designed by the amazing team at Meagan Warren Weddings.

It was such an ELEGANT, classy, beautiful wedding day. As Kim and Chip were hidden away preparing to walk down the aisle, I stopped to talk with Kim’s sweet father, who was sitting at a table at their al fresco reception. I said, “Isn’t this incredible?!” And he replied, “Oh, it is. This is Kim to a T.” Kim and Chip are the definition of an elegant, classy couple. As their wedding planner, Meagan, told me, these two are pretty much local celebrities. They’re the kindest, most down-to-earth people, and everyone knows them and will stop to say hi when they’re out and about.

This is a couple who really honors marriage and the commitment it is. This wedding wasn’t just about the day for them, it was about starting their lives as a couple for the rest of forever. I loved seeing how they spoke to one another with the utmost respect, how Chip cried when he saw Kim walk down the aisle, how they shared the sacred moment of communion and the way they held each other during their first dance. I even got to meet Henry, the pup that brought the two of them together! Apparently, he was the reason the two of them met, because Kim just had to meet the cutest pup she’d ever seen, and Henry then introduced her to his owner, Chip :)

I’m so incredibly blessed to have witnessed such a beautiful, Godly wedding, and I wish you two (well, three, including Henry!) nothing but the best!
