A Kiawah Island Family Session | The Reeb Family

I love this Kiawah Island family session because there is so much beauty on the island! From the palmetto trees to the marsh to the ocean, you just can’t go wrong. I met up with the Reeb family for an early morning session. They were coming into town from all over for their annual get-together…some even coming from as far as Germany! 

I had met half the family before…I used to go to church with Jennie, and I had actually met Shanna last year when I photographed her family! She and her husband were down on Kiawah last year with her extended family, so now I feel like I’ve met just about everyone in their families!

The word that I kept thinking when I was editing through their gallery was JOY. This family just radiates joy. You could tell they were so grateful to be able to spend time together in this beautiful place, celebrating life and family. I loved being able to photograph the whole family together, celebrating the different phases of life each family unit is in right now. I love when extended families are able to have photoshoots like this outside of wedding days, and I hope they will cherish these photos as their kids grow up!
