If y’all have followed me for any amount of time, you might know that the Legare Waring House in Charleston, South Carolina is one of my all-time favorite venues! You just can’t beat the romantic Spanish moss hanging off the oak trees, the iron gate that overlooks a pond, and the patio with string lights in front of the house. Tara and Cody tied the knot here a few weekends ago! I love that we were able to take their engagement photos there as well. There are so many gorgeous spots here so it’s nice to be able to take double the photos there!
Tara and Cody are such kind, wonderful people. After we did Tara’s first look with her bridesmaids, she gave a little mini-toast to them just off the cuff. She told them how she knew God had placed each one of them in her life, how much they all meant to her, and how she wanted to build each of them up and cheer them on. It was truly inspiring! The girls cried and I had goosebumps :) During the ceremony, both Tara and Cody read their personalized vows, talking about how they made each other better, and how their favorite moments together are the simple, everyday moments.
One of my favorite requests was that we take a few portraits in the library at the Legare Waring House. Tara said that she and Cody both love to read, so that room was special to them. Reading is one of my favorite pastimes as well, so I loved that sentiment.
There were big smiles, there were tears, and there was so much joy. It was such an honor to be part of this wedding day!
