A Downtown Charleston Hampton Park Engagement | Callie + Ben

I love love loved photographing Callie and Ben at their downtown Charleston Hampton Park engagement session…look at their amazing smiles! Callie said she was a little nervous to see how Ben would do in front of the camera (sounds like every girl I know, ha!) and was so surprised that he was an immediate model! The two of them had so much fun giggling their way through their engagement photos.

I also learned some pretty interesting facts about the two of them. Callie is an embalmer, and I had so very many questions about this. She assured me that everyone has a lot of questions upon learning this fact, but it’s ok because she loves talking about it! She said honestly, everyone was surprised that her wedding dress is white and not black. During their engagement session, I learned that Ben is in the band called Carson Peters and Iron Mountain. He was very modest about it, but they’re GOOD! I listened to it on the way home from their session and imagined Ben jamming on stage with Callie dancing around in the audience. It’s happy music that makes you want to take off your shoes and dance around, and I’ve been listening to them on Spotify ever since!
