A Sullivan’s Island Engagement
Sometimes everything comes together just perfectly, like at this Sullivan’s Island engagement session. The week before Crystal and Brandon’s session, I had been checking the weather and seeing an increasing chance of rain every time I looked. We decided that we would make a game time decision when the date rolled around and it was looking rainy. But a few hours before their session, the sun came out, and oh man did it make an appearance. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky, and as you see above, it created the perfect golden hour light for their session.
I love the way Crystal and Brandon interacted with each other. You can tell that they just have an easy love. Not that love or relationships are easy, but they just do togetherness so well. You can tell how comfortable they are being with each other. I made them dance around in the street, and Brandon just pulled Crystal tight as she laughed at him trying to make some music. They brought along their pup, Bingo, an Australian-Collie mix. One of my favorite moments was when we were mid-shoot, and this boy walks up and says, “I’m so sorry to interrupt, but I just HAVE to know what kind of dog that is.” They told him, and I think he said “Wow, wow…WOW,” about 100 times before walking away :)
Crystal and Brandon, I absolutely cannot WAIT to photograph your wedding! I had Bingo’s tennis ball in this photo. Can you tell? :) GIRL. Rockin’ that model look. It was really windy on the bridge. But we went with it.
