Emily and Dan. I had been looking forward to their wedding day at Lowndes Grove for such a long time, and it was absolutely amazing! When I walked in the room where Emily was getting ready, she had a HUGE smile on her face and jumped up to give me the biggest hug. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bride cry so many tears of joy as Emily. Dan was calm and collected as we walked out for their first look, and it’s so easy to see that he is Emily’s rock, her safe place.
When I first met Emily for coffee, one thing that immediately caught my attention was that her and Dan love to travel together. I can’t think of many things I would rather do than travel, and Emily and I probably talked more about places we’d traveled than we talked about wedding details!
The two of them got engaged in Scotland (hello, top of my bucket list!) after they had hiked to the top of Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh. When they got to the last hill, Dan asked someone to take a picture of the two of them (and secretly told the guy that he was about to propose!). As they were getting ready to take the picture, Dan handed Emily a napkin with the checklist for their lives: get married, see the world, have kids, live happily ever after. (This is even cuter because on one of their first dates, they had made a checklist of things to do together, like paddleboard, restaurant hop, sky dive, etc. Even with skydiving on the first list, I’m pretty sure Emily was more excited about the second!)
Congrats to you both, Emily and Dan! May your years be filled with the same ear-to-ear grins you both wore on your wedding day, traveling the world, and too many happy memories to count.
