A Blue Ridge Mountain Engagement Session | Emily + Matt
This Blue Ridge Mountains engagement session was absolutely INCREDIBLE! I love Charleston, but dang do I love the mountains in the fall. When Emily and Matt asked me to come up to the Linville, North Carolina area for the session, I was all in. And when they told me they wanted to do their engagement session at Grandfather Mountain, the highest point of the Blue Ridge Mountains, I was even more in! We couldn’t have asked for better fall colors on all the trees, and dang are those Blue Ridge mountains actually blue!!
Literally, the FIRST thing I did when I walked into my front door from our weekend in the mountains was run to my computer to upload Emily and Matt’s engagement session. And oh my goodness, I couldn’t be happier with how these turned out! Every fall I just want to be in the mountains, where you get the beautiful color-changing leaves, the cooler air, and the rolling hills.
It was only five minutes into their session when Matt said, “Hey, this is actually fun!” It’s actually pretty often that the groom tells me that, but this might have been a first to hear it this early! Emily was a rockstar maneuvering these cliffs barefoot in her dress, and it made for some gorgeous photos of the view.
Emily was a bridesmaid in a wedding I photographed last year, and it was so fun to see them again, and this time have them in front of the camera. I loved seeing them belly laugh at something the other said, and how easily they fell into each other’s arms and snuggled close (partly so they didn’t fall down the mountain, but mostly because they’re in love )
Emily and Matt, I can’t wait for your wedding next year!!
