A Charleston Marsh Engagement Session | Jennie + David
I absolutely loved meeting up with Jennie and David for their Charleston marsh engagement session! It was low-tide perfection when we had their session. I always think the marsh is such a gorgeous place for a session…it’s not something you find in most cities, so it’s not only beautiful, but it’s also super unique! I hadn’t been to this exact marsh before, and it was giving me all the creative vibes, being in a new spot! It was also a place that’s special to Jennie and David, as they go on walks here sometimes, and that makes it all the better for an engagement session!
If y’all have followed me for any length of time, you know that nose crinkles are my favorite, and Jennie did not disappoint in that department. Her mom reached out to me after I posted some photos on Instagram and said, “Well, clearly she found the perfect photographer! These are gorgeous! I love that you captured the crinkle. We call it the “scrunch nose” in our family, and we all LOVE that she has it. I am so happy you will be our photographer throughout this wonderful time.” I loved that her family has a name for it, and I’m also so thrilled I get to work with Jennie and David again at their wedding!
During their session, they told me that they both knew it was meant to be after only two weeks of dating. TWO WEEKS! They initially met on Hinge, but it was while Jennie was out of town for law school. They reconnected via the app when she was back in town over the summer and decided to give it a try. It’s a good thing they did because after two weeks they knew that was it.
I asked who said “I love you” first, and Jennie said she did. They had just made dinner together and were sitting on the couch. She told him she loved him, and he said that he was just about to tell her the same thing! I love when significant things like this happen during the simple, everyday moments. That’s always when you know it’s real! And now they’re about to tie the knot at the end of this year, and I can’t wait to be there to celebrate with them!
