A Charleston Intimate Wedding | Kimberly + Jake

Kimberly and Jake had the most beautiful Charleston intimate wedding under the oak trees. Kimberly told me right before their first look, “I really like Spanish moss.” And as you can see in their photos, we did everything we could to find all the Spanish moss! I loved seeing Jake’s smile as he turned around to see Kimberly for the first time on their wedding day. She asked him if her dress was what he thought it would be like, and he said he couldn’t have even imagined it. She was absolutely gorgeous…I might be biased because you know your girl loves sparkles, but seriously, what a stunning gown!

Their path to marriage started all the way back in high school when they made eye contact but were too nervous to talk to each other. Finally, Jake got up the courage to talk to Kimberly. She said she was so shocked because she was a freshman and he was a junior! It made me laugh thinking back to high school and imagining the scenario of them both being so nervous in that high school way. 

I loved watching their family and friends support them throughout the day, from cheering them on during their portraits to speaking the kindest words about them during their toasts. I love how at intimate weddings, you can tell how honored all the guests are to be there, to know that they’re counted among your favorite people.
