The forecast called for rain all day on Colby and Lance’s wedding day at Cottage on the Creek. The morning was clear, and as Colby and her bridesmaids walked outside to take some photos, we all breathed a sigh of relief at how gorgeous it was. We did the first look, portraits of Colby and Lance, bridal party, and the ceremony. All with clear skies. And then as soon as the ceremony was over, the skies opened up and the floodgates let loose. Literally. I don’t remember the last time I have seen it pour that hard. There was even a tornado warning! (Does that happen in Charleston?!) Luckily, the reception was inside, so it was the perfect time for the rain that had been promised in the forecast. And after that, the sky lit up with the most beautiful sunset. Just for Colby and Lance :)
I had met Colby and Lance last year at their engagement session. I knew right away that they are both sweet, sweet souls. I love the way the Lance looks at Colby like he has found the person his soul treasures most. Not even to be mushy and romantic, that’s seriously the way he looks at her! And Colby (or should I say Dr. Colby!) is smart as all get-out. It’s really not fair for someone to be as smart and as gorgeous as she is at the same time. The two of them did long distance for awhile, while Colby was here in school and Lance was working in Greenville. As someone who has done long distance before, I’m so happy for them to be married and get to come home to one another every evening! Wishing these two a lifetime of happiness and love :)
Thank you to all the amazing vendors who made this wedding possible!
