Charleston Engagement Photographer * emily and zeke {engaged!}
January 27, 2015
I’ve known Emily for a few years now, as she is one of my favorite wedding planners in Charleston. I met her the first year that I moved to Charleston, and we have worked together many times since! What I love about her professionally is that she is SO organized. I never have to worry about a thing when she is the planner for a wedding I’m photographing. She was my wedding planner when I got married in November of 2013, and I can’t tell you how many other vendors and members of my wedding party came up to me and said, “Wow, that girl is good!” :) So needless to say, I was incredibly honored and SO excited when she asked if I would photograph her wedding! Not to mention extremely nervous :) Her and Zeke’s wedding is this July, but we got a taste of working together in a different way this past summer when we did their engagement session. I hadn’t met Zeke before, so I didn’t really know what to expect. Once I met him, I knew he was a perfect fit for Emily. They are both quirky in a way that I always wish I could be, and I loved that they had a different idea for their engagement session. Zeke is a top-notch mechanic, and has been working on a vintage car that is near and dear to his heart. His one requirement for their engagement photos was to use the car. I’m all for props, especially when it’s something so personal! Then we headed over to a graffiti wall, which I didn’t even know existed. We had a ton of fun playing around with the colors and patterns on the walls. Lastly, Emily and Zeke took me to a park that they love to visit. There they set up a few board games to play, and Emily made Zeke play his guitar, which I think made him a little embarrassed, but I thought he did great :)
I can’t wait for Emily and Zeke’s wedding this year! After working with Emily on so many weddings and having her help me out with my own wedding, I’m so excited to celebrate her and Zeke!
What beautiful pictures of a beautiful couple!!!
