Carla & Jeremy | One Atlantic

A One Atlantic Wedding

Carla & Jeremy

Carla and Jeremy’s wedding was the BEST way to kick off my fall wedding season! The two of them tied the knot at the beautiful One Atlantic over Labor Day Weekend. My favorite parts of the day included:

1. Carla and her bridesmaids dancing in the kitchen
2. Jeremy telling me right before the first look that this was the first time all day he had been nervous
3. Learning what a Jitney is
4. Their portrait time. The two of them couldn’t be any more adorable together! The smiles that continually light up their faces when they are with each other is the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen!

“Jeremy and I attended the same overnight camp for 14 years!” Carla told me. “Once we were counselors, our friend groups began to merge, and we started dating in 2011. Probably half of our camp friends attending the wedding (as well as one beloved-camper who was six years old at the time) would take credit for getting our relationship started haha.

“We were long distance throughout the rest of college and then moved to DC together. Jeremy proposed just over two years ago (crazy how long it’s been!) at high tea at the Plaza—one of my favorite activities after studying abroad in London and somewhere I always wanted to go.  We’ve been together over seven years, living together for three, and now engaged for two—it’s been a long time coming to this very day, and we can’t wait to start this next chapter of our lives together.”

Carla and Jeremy, you two are beautiful people who are going to change the world for the better! I loved how many times I heard your family and friends saying that over the course of the evening. You are so loved, and I know you have the most amazing future ahead of you!

Megan & Andy | The Historic Rice Mill

A Historic Rice Mill Wedding

Megan & Andy

Megan and Andy…what an honor it was to celebrate your wedding day at the Rice Mill with you! Megan was a beautiful, laid-back bohemian princess, and the way Andy looked at her all day just made me melt. I’ve been excited about their wedding since the day I met them for their engagement session. They brought their pups, Chief and Folly, along for part of the session, and we had so much fun wandering around downtown and the newly renovated Colonial Lake! They are both such genuine, caring people. Sometimes I don’t know how in the world I am so blessed with the couples I get to photograph!

Megan and Andy both laugh at how they met, because it was at a bar. Megan told me, “I NEVER go to bars. NEVER.” But of course the one time she obliged a friend who was having a birthday party, she met the love of her life! Andy proposed one night while they were walking their dog Chief along Folly Beach (and now they have a pup named Folly!) and he had her family and a few of their closest friends hiding out in the dunes ready to celebrate.

Megan and Andy, thank you so much for choosing me to photograph your wedding day! It’s been such a pleasure getting to know you both!
