Dominic and Mary are the sweetest couple! They met when they were both in medical school, and began dating before they had to move for their residencies. But they made it work, despite having to live in different cities (Mary in Pittsburgh and Dominic in Charleston) for 3 years! You know there were a lot of plane tickets and long drives during that time!
It was during one of his visits to Pittsburgh in April of 2016 that Dominic proposed. “He had arrived while I was in the middle of a 24 hour shift,” Mary told me. “And I came home very tired. He made me breakfast, and he proposed while I was lying on the couch in sweatpants!” Of course she said yes. :)
You would never know by looking at these sweet photos of Mary and Dominic that it was 105 degrees outside on the wedding day! They told me how happy they were to finally be married and getting ready to spend their lives together after years of long distance. I love that even though these two are obviously brilliant, they were the sweetest couple! They were so down to earth, and just happy to be together with all their friends and family.
Dominic told me in the beginning of the day that he really wasn’t looking forward to having his picture taken, which I understand, and I get that from a lot of guys! But one of my favorite parts of the day was during the cocktail hour, when Dominic came up to me and said, “Hey, thanks so much for taking us to all those awesome spots for our pictures. I really enjoyed that more than I thought I would.”
SUCCESS! Y’all, it’s always my goal to make my couples feel as comfortable and natural in front of the camera as possible!
Mary and Dominic, thank you so much for inviting me into your wedding day!
