Everything about Kelsey and Lance’s backyard Georgia wedding was my kind of wedding. Talk about the kind of couple I love to photograph. When I say that I’m a photographer for the joy-filled bride and groom, it’s these two right here.
Kelsey and Lance were married this past weekend at her parent’s farmhouse in Statesboro, Georgia. Whenever I’ve photographed backyard weddings, I’m always amazed by the way friends and family come together to love on the couple. As the rain fell down in buckets right before the ceremony, everyone pitched in to help move chairs to a new location. And you know what? Even though it wasn’t how Kelsey and Lance had planned it, it was still incredible. Maybe even more so, because we got to see how loved they are.
Kelsey was beaming from ear to ear as she walked down the aisle, and I’m pretty sure Lance shed a few tears when he saw her for the first time. As they danced in the rain after the ceremony, neither of them cared that they were getting muddy, as long as they were wrapped up in each other’s arms.
Kelsey and Lance, what an amazingly beautiful day. Thank you for taking the rain in stride and remembering that the most important part of the day was that you got MARRIED! I don’t think it could have been a more perfect celebration of your love.
Thank you to the wonderful vendors who made this day possible!
