A Folly Beach Engagement Session

I loved getting to know Kaitlin and Andrew during their Folly Beach engagement session! Folly Beach is easily one of my favorite beaches for engagement sessions. I met Kaitlin a few years ago when she was a bridesmaid at her friend Emily’s wedding. I remember all the girls being so sweet that day, and telling them all that I wanted to photograph every single one of their weddings so that I could hang out with their group of friends again. Fast forward two years, and Kaitlin reached out to me letting me know she was engaged! I’m so excited to be able to photograph her and Andrew’s wedding next year!

The two of them came into Charleston over Labor Day weekend to check some items off their wedding planning list. Of course, this is when hurricane Dorian also decided to come to town as well. I’m so thankful we were able to fit in their engagement session before the storm! We met on Folly Beach and watched the waves crash against the shore, and somehow got some beautiful golden hour light too! The craziest part was that the beach was actually closed the next day because of the impending hurricane, so our timing couldn’t have been more perfect!

Kaitlin and Andrew, I can’t wait to celebrate with you two next year at Merchants Hall!
