My Favorite Momma Products to Make Life a Little Easier!
I’m at that stage now where a lot of my friends and past couples are having babies! Being a Charleston maternity and newborn photographer, and having just had a little one of my own (sweet Ben!) I feel like I’m constantly sharing things that have made my life easier post-pregnancy. I love sharing these products with women who ask, because I know how overwhelming it can be. Seriously, there was at least one day when I slammed my computer shut in frustration and maybe even cried a little (it MUST have been the pregnancy hormones, because I am not a crier!) There are a million different brands of every item, and a million things you probably don’t need. I knew that I didn’t want my house cluttered with baby things. We live in a house built in the 1950’s, and that means we have VERY little storage. So I wanted to keep to the bare minimum!

Líllé Baby Carrier: I love love love this purchase. I went back and forth between this one and the Ergobaby (mostly because I thought the Ergobaby was prettier) but heard so many good things about the Líllé. Not only is it less expensive than the Ergobaby, but you can use it for longer because it has 6 different ways to carry your baby. We go on walks with Ben in the carrier, I can sit down comfortably, and we’ve even gone on a six mile hike with him in it.
Love to Dream Swaddle: This swaddle was a GAME-CHANGER. It was recommended by a past couple of mine. Even as a newborn, Ben didn’t like to sleep with his arms straight down, and my pediatrician told me that’s pretty common. This swaddle allows him to keep his arms up by his face, which comforts him while he’s not being held. He sleeps SO much better in this, and it isn’t a fight to get him all wrapped up in it!
Baby Merlin’s Magic Sleepsuit: This sleepsuit has been my favorite since Ben has started rolling over. Once they can roll over, their arms need to be free. The Magic Sleepsuit is very lightly weighted, which is comforting to babies, just like your hand on their chest would be. I tried a few other weighted sleepsacks, but this one is by far my favorite. I love that it’s weighted everywhere, not just the chest. That way he doesn’t wake himself up by flailing his arms!
Leachco Podster: Ben is 4 months old now and we still love using his Podster. When he was a newborn he would nap really well in it. Now I set him in it so he can be propped up a bit and see what’s going on in the world around him!
Milkies Milk Savers: Because breastmilk is liquid gold, my friends!
