A Folly Beach Elopement | Jennifer + Eddy

Jennifer and Eddy had a beautiful Folly beach elopement. I had such a hard time picking just a few favorites from their intimate wedding! The two of them were married at her parent’s beach house on Folly, with just their family in attendance. Jennifer and Eddy are currently living in Lebanon, about which I had many questions for them during their portraits. How does a Charleston-native find herself in Lebanon? Basically, she’s one of the coolest and smartest people ever, and her smarts and love of travel led her there. Jennifer and Eddy and his whole family flew in all the way from Lebanon to get married on the marsh that Jennifer loves so much!

I’ve been so fortunate to have photographed so many beautiful backyard weddings and elopements. There’s just something so intimate about getting married in a location that means so much to you and your family. The details always come together so beautifully…backyard weddings always seem to pull in so many personal details.

Jennifer and Eddy were friends before they dated, and their story was so sweet! During his vows, Eddy told Jennifer that he remembered once when they were hanging out, and he said, “I just remember that I wanted to kiss you so badly, but I didn’t…but neither did you!” Everyone got a laugh out of that, but he went on to say that he didn’t want to ruin what a beautiful friendship they had. Thankfully, they both admitted their feelings later, and now the two of them will be best friends forever!
