An Elopement At Magnolia Plantation
This beautiful elopement at Magnolia Plantation was my first session back since all the craziness with COVID-19. I was thrilled to be back to work, photographing an elopement at one of my favorite venues for elopements. Tanya and Adam couldn’t have been sweeter. We had a lot of communication in the weeks leading up to their elopement, as they weren’t sure it was going to happen. Would Magnolia be open? Would they be able to travel to Charleston? Would we even be able to meet with the three of us plus an officiant? There were so many unknowns, but thankfully, everything worked out according to plan! Magnolia opened up a few days before their wedding date, and thankfully, it wasn’t too crowded! In addition to that, they were even able to keep their dinner reservation at 82 Queen, because the patio opened up that exact day!
Tanya and Adam chose an elopement for all the reasons I love. They wanted to have a day where they could concentrate on each other and their continued commitment to one another. It was a completely secret ceremony (another added challenge with everything going on!) and they were determined to keep it that way until they said “I do!” They were so excited to call their families after the fact and let them in on the big surprise. I’m so thankful that I was able to be part of Tanya and Adam’s sweet elopement. It was an honor to witness their marriage, and to see that joy, community, and love are still burning bright!
