Wedding portraits are one of my favorite parts of a wedding day, so I was so thrilled that I was able to do that twice last week! I had not one, but TWO photoshoots, and during this weird quarantine time, that felt pretty amazing! I’ve loved getting to spend quality time with Ben, and I know that’s a huge blessing. But it’s been so nice to have a few photoshoots recently to get back into the swing of things before a busy fall that’s coming up!
Kenzie and Alex eloped a week or so ago, and wanted to have wedding portraits taken in their dress and suit. We met downtown for their first look, where both Kenzie and Alex cried. It was the sweetest! Kenzie didn’t wear her wedding dress for their ceremony when they eloped, so this was the first time that Alex had seen her in it. And man oh man, was she a beauty! With the tulle skirt of the dress and her beautiful gold headband, she looked straight out of a fairytale.
After we spent some time on the cobblestone streets of Charleston, we made our way to the beach. It’s special to them because Alex proposed here last year! I always love when couples take photos in places that are meaningful to them. On the way, we all noticed that the sky was sooo dark and there were flashes of lightning all around. Thankfully, the rain held off, and made for some amazing photos! After 8 years together and 4 years of long distance, I know Kenzie and Alex are so happy to be married! Congrats, you two!
