A Waterfront Park Engagement | Miranda + John

I left this engagement session with the biggest smile on my face. I’m pretty sure I was still laughing as I walked to my car. (Thinking back, all the people I passed probably thought I was crazy…) Miranda and John are such joyful, fun people! We were laughing their whole session about one thing or another. I loved hearing them talk about each other and how their strengths play off one another. Miranda is the planner, John is more go-with-the-flow, and it totally works for them! Miranda said that on their first date they sat and talked for 5 hours, and after meeting them, I can see why they couldn’t get enough of each other!

I love when the groom decides to just make the most of their photos and have a good time. Sure, most guys don’t love having their photos taken, and I’m sure John was the same way! But it’s always my goal to get the guy to have fun during their photos. I think you can tell by John’s laughter in all these photos that he had a pretty decent time :) I always start the session by telling my couples that they don’t have to be the expert at this…that’s why they hired me! A lot of an engagement session is just about being together, cuddling up, and enjoying each other. I promise not to make you pose a million different awkward ways and look at the camera and smile. I’m going to do everything in my power to get genuine smiles and laughter out of you, just like you see in these photos of Miranda and John!
