A Mepkin Abbey Engagement Session | Katelyn + Josh
I met Katelyn and Josh at the gorgeous Mepkin Abbey for their engagement session. I’ve been to Mepkin Abbey a few times before, and I’m always in awe of the natural beauty of the landscape and the sense of peace you get walking onto the property. The azaleas were in full bloom during their session, which made for the most beautiful backdrop.
As most couples do, Katelyn and Josh started out their session saying that they had NEVER taken photos together before, and that they would be super awkward in front of the camera. I assured them that they weren’t alone in feeling that way, and then they created this magic in front of my camera.
Katelyn and Josh, I loved exploring with you (even after Josh told me scary ghost stories about the ground we were on…) and getting to see how HAPPY you make each other! Look at these smiles, that laughter, the absolute joy that you’ve found in one another. Katelyn is a city girl who’s grown to love (or at least like) camping because of Josh, and she’s taught Josh to tolerate the Pittsburgh Steelers if he’s going to be part of her family. (Woot woot!!) I love that you just went along with any crazy ideas I threw your way and that you were happy to do a little off-roading (as long as there weren’t any snakes…)
I hope you two enjoy this sweet time of being engaged!
