A Family Session in Chicago, Illinois

I had the pleasure of meeting Bethany and Doug a few years ago when I photographed their wedding at the beautiful Legare Waring House in Charleston, South Carolina. This summer when I was in Chicago, we met up for a little family session with the newest addition to their family, little Darcy! It’s always fun for me to meet up with past clients again. To see how their life has changed and grown since their wedding day. Bethany and Doug live in the cutest part of Chicago, and I took the El from the city center to meet up with them. When I went to school in a suburb outside of Chicago, I mostly took the Metra in to the main part of Chicago, and stayed around Millenium park, the shopping center, and of course, Giordano’s. The few times that I’ve had to explore Chicago since going to school there, I’ve loved exploring outside of the main city. The little boroughs are so charming! Granted, if I had done that in college I might have gotten myself in trouble since I didn’t have street smarts and wasn’t good with directions. I’m still pretty awful at directions, but I like to think I have gained a little bit of common sense :) All that to say, it was so lovely to meet up with Bethany and Doug and their sweet little girl.
