A Downtown Charleston Engagement

Jenny and Jay come down to Charleston every year for their family vacation, and decided it would be the perfect spot for their engagement photos. I have to agree. I always tell people that I have such a hard time taking photos here, because every step I take I need to stop and take another photo. There’s just that much beauty here! The day before I met up with them, one of my close friends texted me and said, “The engagement session you have tomorrow wouldn’t by chance be for Jenny and Jay would it?” Apparently they had grown up together in Cincinnati, and my friend put two and two together that they were down here for an engagement session and I had told them I was photographing one that day. Oh small world connections :) Not only that, but I lived in Cincinnati for a few years back in the day. So we talked about all the things I miss about that place…which consists almost solely of food. Skyline Chili and Graeters ice cream? Yes please.

As soon as I met these two I was immediately drawn to how sweet they are. They have some of the best smiles I have ever seen, and there were no shortage of smiles and laughs as we walked around. They are both so easy to talk to, and you can tell they are just the type of people who light up a room when they walk in. I’m so in love with these photos! Jenny and Jay, thank you for spending an evening in Charleston with me!
