Meet Chelsea! She’s half-Honduran, fluent in Spanish, and a great salsa dancer. Everything I want to be : ) She braved the Seattle rain with me to have a day full of photoshooting. She brought half her wardrobe…seriously, two full duffle bags, not to mention jewelry bags, belts, and multiple pairs of shoes…and so we had lots to choose from! She’s a beautiful girl, and we had so much fun walking around to different locations, umbrella, maps, and all. Take a look!

In other news, the countdown is three weeks until the big move to Charleston, SC! Seattle isn’t doing a good job of tempting me to stay…I can’t remember the last time it was sunny for two days in a row. It’s exciting to think about all the plans I have set for life in Charleston…and also good to look back a few months when I was completely stressing about not having plans once I got home from Ecuador. The verse that I wrote down over and over during that time was Psalm 32:8. “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.” I love being able to look at past struggles and see how God has answered prayers, and in this case, really instructed me in the way to go, and set everything in place. It really does amaze me that in spite of all the past assurances of God’s faithfulness, I continue to worry when a new situation arises. However, I know that there is grace to keep learning and keep working on trusting. I ended that post saying, “So here’s to trust. Here’s to knowing and believing that God has the best for me. Here’s to me being open for the next step, to trusting God to place me wherever He wants. Here’s to the unknown. Cheers!” And now I can say, “So here’s to trust. Here’s to knowing and believing that God has the best for me. Here’s to me being open for the plans God has revealed to me, to being open to where He has placed me. Here’s to new opportunities.
