A Debordieu Wedding | Jessie + Chris

Jessie + Chris were married in her grandparent’s marsh-front backyard in Debordieu, South Carolina. Backyard weddings are always some of my favorites. There’s something so intimate about getting married in a place where you grew up or where your family lives. And it doesn’t hurt when it’s a spot as gorgeous as Debordieu :) I had been to her grandparent’s house a few years back, when I photographed Jessie’s brother’s engagement session! I love when I get to work with the same family on multiple occasions!

Jessie and Chris were so adorable on their wedding day. Both of them said they were getting nervous about how “not-nervous” they were, and then they laughed because they knew it was just because they’re meant to be together. Their first look was full of laughter and smiles, and Jessie kept thinking of new things to show Chris. “Look at the back of this dress! Ooh, you haven’t seen my shoes yet! The earrings you got me are so beautiful!!” It made me happy to see her show off all the details and see Chris smile (or laugh about her extravagant aka STUNNING shoes!)
