A Hampton Park Engagement | Charleston, SC

Hampton Park has become one of my favorite locations for photo sessions, especially for engagement sessions, and it’s only made better by the fact that I love these two humans in these photos! 

Over these past few years, I’ve had the honor of photographing so many events for friends of mine. Weddings, engagements, maternity, newborn, and family sessions…it’s been such an incredible thing for me to be able to document moments for the people I love. So you know how thrilled I was when my BFF asked me to photograph her engagement session at Hampton Park!

Shannon and I met 10 years ago (!!!) at a terrible job that we loved because it brought us some lifelong friends. She’s been my next-door neighbor for 6 years, and we have spent many years walking our neighborhood, going on random errands to buy candles and other unnecessary items, forcing ourselves to go to the beach, and trying out new restaurants. And laughing a lot. She’s the type of friend that everyone wants to have…willing to do crazy things with you, the person who can be your sounding board if you’re being ridiculous (but will also let you be ridiculous for a while), and someone who will drop anything if you need her.

Shannon, I’m SO happy for you. I remember talking about Jesse when you first met him, and your shy smile when you didn’t want to get too excited too quickly. I remember when you told me that he said “I love you,” and how I shrieked and couldn’t wait to hear all the details.

Jesse, thank you for being such an amazing man for my best friend! I’m so happy that you found each other. I have absolutely loved hearing about and seeing how you love Shannon…from remembering the little things like how she loves the color orange and hot sauce and being ok with the fact that she is one of those weird people who likes everything super clean (good luck and godspeed to you with that, my friend). You have a wonderful woman to be your partner for life. Sorry in advance for my and Shannon’s antics when we’re together
