A Creek Club at I’on Wedding | Katie + Robert

Katie and Robert were married at the beautiful waterfront venue, Creek Club at I’on. They had a winter wedding, and I loved all the colors they picked for a Charleston winter wedding. Katie’s wildflower bouquet was the perfect match for her elegant, long-sleeved lace wedding dress, and her bridesmaids wore the most beautiful shade of green.

Katie and Robert are one of those couples who make my heart so happy. It’s so obvious that they’re meant to be together. As Katie’s maid of honor said during her toast, “it’s pretty incredible that Katie found someone as witty, sarcastic, and kind-hearted as she is. It’s actually kind of ridiculous how perfect these two are together.”

Robert told me at the end of the evening how he was so happy that they did a first look. They both cried when they saw each other for the first time (Robert cried the hardest, lets be honest ) and they took some time during their first look to read their personalized vows to one another. This is one of my favorite things that a couple can do during their first look. It’s incredibly special to hear each other’s vows for the first time without anyone else hearing. It makes for such an intimate moment, and your vows are so important! Even though they did a first look (or maybe because they did a first look!) you could tell that they were both so emotional as Katie walked down the aisle toward Robert. They repeated their personalized vows in front of all their family and friends who had traveled to be at their wedding day.

Multiple people said this during their wedding, and I could tell just from the few times that I have spent with them, but the way Katie and Robert care about people is so special. They welcome you in if you’re a new friend, and they’re loyal to their friends they’ve had since elementary school. I loved seeing all their favorite people gather together to celebrate them on their weekend! Congrats, Katie and Robert!
