An Old Village Wedding in Charleston, SC | Katie + Patrick

“How are you?!” Katie asked Patrick right after their first look. His response? “SO much better now!” Their first look was the sweetest! When Patrick turned around his immediate response was to say “WOW”, and then tell Katie over and over again how beautiful she was and how happy he was to see her. I always love when I see a visible change in a couple after their first look. Usually they’ll be super nervous right beforehand…the excitement of the day all gathering up to this moment, the butterflies of seeing  your person for the first time on such an important day. And then the laughter and tears when you finally hold hands. It’s almost like I watch the couple exhale for the first time on their wedding day, and from there on out, it’s the happiest of moments!

I had the BEST time at Katie and Patrick’s wedding! Their family and friends were all so kind, and let me tell you, they know how to PARTY. From the youngest guest to the oldest, they were all on the dance floor the whole night breaking it down. The last song was Celine Dion’s It’s All Coming Back, and I was singing just as loud as all their guests, haha! My cheeks hurt on my drive home from smiling and laughing so much.

Patrick made a toast to his beautiful bride during the reception. He said that she just has this magic about her that pulls you in, and that as soon as you meet her, you’re enthralled. I loved the way Katie looked at him as he spoke these sweet words over her. Katie and Patrick, thank you for having me along for such a special day!
