A White Point Gardens Intimate Wedding in Charleston, SC | Katy + Nolan

Katy and Nolan had the most beautiful, intimate wedding at White Point Gardens this fall. No, this isn’t a styled shoot, and these aren’t models. This is a real couple and a real intimate wedding. Shocking, I know!

⁠Not only are these two a gorgeous couple, but they are also THE absolute sweetest. Katy has the biggest smile, and Nolan has the softest, kindest grin. The story of their “meet-cute” is one of my all-time favorites. If you follow me on Instagram, you know I promised the story when I blogged about their wedding!

Do you know how it’s usually the “girl next door”? Well, Nolan was the “boy next door”! They were both living in an apartment complex at the time. Katy decided to bake all her neighbors cookies for National Random Acts of Kindness Day (I told you she’s the sweetest!). No one was answering their doors when she knocked to drop the cookies off, but when she got to Nolan’s door, he answered. Katy said, and I quote, “I knew the moment he awkwardly said ‘hi’ that he was going to be my husband.” So much so that she told her parents and her roommate that she had just met her husband! To add to the absolutely adorable meet-cute, Nolan returned the love at first sight by knocking on Katy’s door the next day with homemade lemon bars. I told you that was a story worth waiting for!

⁠I loved how gentle Nolan was with Katy and how she spoke of him as the kindest, most intelligent person she knew. I feel so fortunate to have met them and to have spent a beautiful, sunny fall morning with them.⁠

⁠Katy had told me that her mom was sewing flowers onto her veil, but I had no idea it would be this beautiful work of art! I absolutely loved photographing Katy and Nolan’s intimate wedding day and getting to know the two of them as a couple!
