The Ceremony – A 2018 Review

Wedding Ceremonies

A 2018 Review

Today in my 2018 review I have the ceremonies! The photographs below were taken in Charleston, Hilton Head, Kiawah Island, Atlantic City, and the Dominican Republic. They were at historic homes, backyards, plantations, beaches, hotels, oceanfront, and downtown. They included big weddings, intimate weddings, and elopements. One thing I love about the ceremonies I get to attend is how different they all are. I love seeing the personal touches each couple adds to their ceremony. The vows they write or choose, what elements they include, and when they get emotional. It always varies, and I try to take as much as I can from each ceremony. I always remind my couples after their wedding day that love is a choice. They chose each other on their wedding day, and they will make the conscious choice to choose each other every day following. I love ceremonies because they truly are about the marriage, not about the wedding. Below are photographs of all the beautiful ceremonies that I had the privilege to photograph in 2018!

Wedding Day Portraits – A 2018 Review

Wedding Day Portraits

A 2018 Review

Oh the wedding day portraits. This is my FAVORITE part of a wedding day, no question. I think it’s so important for couples to have time just the two of them on their wedding day, without guests, family members, wedding party, or any distractions. I want them to have time to focus on each other and think about what an important step they are taking in their relationship. I always encourage couples to spend a good amount of time for their portraits for this reason. It’s nice to be able to take our time, walk around their venue slowly, and soak it all in. Choosing just a few portraits from each wedding day for my review is nearly impossible! It makes me so genuinely happy to go back through all these weddings and see the pure JOY on these couples faces.
