A Magnolia Gardens Elopement | Jessica + Liem
Jessica and Liem shared in a lovely morning ceremony for their Magnolia Gardens elopement. I was so thrilled to be part of this day! I had met Jessica and Liem last October for their engagement session. At the time, they hadn’t planned their elopement yet. I was so excited when Jessica reached out to me this spring to ask if I would be available to photograph their Magnolia Gardens elopement!
The morning of their wedding threatened rain, and oh my goodness if it wasn’t crazy humid. These two were rockstars for being in a long wedding dress and suit, and they cuddled up like it was a nice fall day. Fortunately, we just got a tiny bit of rain after the ceremony – just enough for good luck! They had a beautiful cake that they cut under the gazebo after the ceremony. We were all in love with the flower installation by Creech’s! It made for such a fairytale ceremony!
At their engagement session, Jessica and I had bonded over our favorite color being gray. I had told them how everything my son Ben owns is gray, because we didn’t find out if he was a boy or girl until he was born, and everything I love is gender neutral anyways. Jessica was sweet enough to remember this, and asked how Ben was doing! It reinforced to me what a lovely person she is, that on her wedding day she thought to ask about my little one!
One of my favorite parts about their elopement was that they brought their adorable pup, Wagyu, along for the day! I also don’t think there could be a more perfect name for a dog :) Wagyu was the only family member to know that this elopement was happening! Their families knew they were engaged, but they called them afterwards to tell them that they were now married! Not a bad surprise for a random weekday in the middle of July!
Jessica and Liem, thank you so much for including me at your elopement!
